The economic sentiment of U.S. companies operating in Austria is decreasing. The high non-wage labor costs are Austria´s biggest problem.

According to a survey of the American Chamber of Commerce in Austria (AmCham), U.S. companies operating in Austria are becoming more pessimistic. The current income and revenue situation has deteriorated. Since the beginning of 2012, the economic sentiment worsens. Above all, the issues of investment and employment are seen critically.
