Austria: Hypo Commission Soon Ready to Investigate

The government’s commission for the investigation of Hypo Group’s nationalization is supposed to begin its assignment in one or two weeks.

This was announced by the commission’s future chairwoman and former president of the Austrian Supreme Court Irmgard Griss. She announced not serving the government as a “fig leave” but her intention was to investigate the developments around the disaster with “effective leverages.”
